I think both give the same performance boost, about 1-5 HP at the very most! As for AEM or Injen, I think the only difference between the 2 is the amount of noise it produces.
I can't comment on the injen, never had one, but I do have the AEM and it's loud only when vtec kicks in. Even then the noise isn't that much.

Personally, I went with the Injen just b/c of the price. I mean, they do the same thing, produce the same HP, why shouldn't they cost the same? Plus, I think the Injen Blue matched my car better then the AEM blue!!
As for the HP gains... do a search, but there are dynos showing 6 hp at the wheel, which is about 8hp at the crank which is about right. Some manufacturers claim around 10-12hp, but that's very optimistic. You'll see an average of 4-6hp at the wheel gain....

Hey, I don't want to start a debate but have you considered dropping the resonator and putting in a K&N or Comptech filter. I only say this because I dropped the res and it sounds great and gave me some additional low end torque.
I was initailly going to go with the CIA but after doing some research and talking to a buddy who races cars I found that they really do the same thing except one looks better and one costs less.
Again, I'm not trying to start a debate because believe me I've seen whats been started in the past over this subject. Simply letting you know that this is an option.

1-5hp? Not. 8hp documented by dyno.
