Coin Compartment Removal

I like to know how to remove the coin compartment by the auto stick where there is also a 12V plug. When trying to close that compartment it does not shut all the way. Also the 12v plug/adapter is not working. I checked all fuses and all is good. Thanks if anyone knows??

unfortunately it's a long task and you'd have to remove the center console to get behind or to it. theres a DIY somewhere on here but couldn't find it.

I just had this happen to me 2 days ago (after reading how lots of people have this problem, I decided to take my change out) and opps, CLUNK, a Penny went back and it didn't close. I just poped off the plastic cover and thought, what the hell, and took some tweezers and got it right out. No biggie.

there is a link, unfortunately I can't get it onto this reply, however if you go to www.abunchofcars.com and go to diy section there is a diy on removing centre console of 02 TL which shouldn't be too much different ( I hope for you sake) good luck
