Talking Cluster Guage and Climate Control Bulbs

Whats up AcuraZine! I have a 2002 Acura TL Type S. I've been looking everywhere to find what kind of bulbs are needed to replace the gauge cluster bulbs and climate control bulbs. Some of my climate control bulbs have went out and my cluster bulbs just aren't bright enough. I was looking to get a different color to spice up my interior. Maybe purple or blue or something. Thanks in advance!

Ledautomotive.com is your one stop shop for most everything but the cluster. They offer a kit for the cluster on that site but search the forums here for fsttyms1 led cluster conversion he did, according to him it's alot more involved than just swapping out incandescents for leds. But for most everything else, ledautomotive has plug & play setups priced decently and in red, blue, white, etc.

Hope this helps ya!!

yeah, once i saw how much is involved with this project i was kinda turned off by it. sure you could do it half a$$ and just replace the stock with led but you end up with hot spots because the led's like to focus their light in one area.

next, you have to remove a yellowish/green film from the back side of the cluster and while i did find a good youtube a while back showing how to do this, its pretty risky to mess up the dials!

now to do it right you would have to do both of thoes things and then solder in other leds to fulfill a uniform appearance.

2nd option. you can go with glow gauges and those go right over the stock gauges but you have to secure them with a good adhesive or the thinnest double sided tape you can fine because there isn't much clearance to fit them in with out the needles rubbing and if the needle even slightly is touching the glow gauge then they wont move.

so if you find out anything else let me know, but this is what i got out of it after posting on here and doing my own research for a good week or two.
