my 99 tl makes some weird noises when turning the steering wheel at low speeds, almost like what my knees and bones make when getting out of bed in the morning. has anybody else experienced this?

 

does it make the same sounds when going slow over bumps?

if so, it sounds like worn lower ball joints. make sure you get it checked out asap. it could be serious. i waited a while to get it fixed when mine were shot and my dealer actually wrote on the preliminary report that my car was unsafe to drive even for short distances. they charged a fortune to fix it too.
