Clock question
Just bought an '02, and am pretty sure I have a lighting problem. The clock doesn't light up with the rest of the dash lights. I can't believe this is normal, but would like confirmation before investigating my options with the dealer.
Thanks for any advice...

Yes, mine burned out after 1.5 years and went to the dealer and he fixed it. No charge since he said it was under warranty.
I waited til I needed an oil change so it could all be done at the same visit.

Mine went out like the night I drove it off the dealer's lot (bought a 2000 in Sept. 2003). I was getting pretty pissed when I just sort of lightly banged on the area between the clock and the air vents with my fist, and she popped right back on! Hasn't gone out since.
I would be weary of actually replacing the bulb, since they basically have to tear apart sections of the dash to get to it, and that always creates rattles down the road.

Thanks for all your advice, guys. I called dealership and they want an hour and a half of time for the job, which is probably legit, but I think I'll do it myself if it comes to that. I'm just now working up the courage to punch my dashboard. We'll see how that works.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.
