Clock

Sorry for this as its probably been asked ad naseum.

WHAT IS THE DEAL WITH THE CLOCK? NO LIGHT FOR IT???

Please let someone say that there is a fuse for it and it blows all the time b/c if Acura didnt put a light on the clock, it might be cause for me to sell my car.

i am pretty sure there is a light, i mean, from what i remember i dont think i have ever had a problem reading it at night. i have an 06 and i thinkmine has a blue backlight like the other radio/hvac screens.

the dimmer switch is all the way up for the dash lights.. there is something else?

give it a good wack, sometimes it can be lose, or worse case, the bulb is dead and u gotta take apart the dash...which isnt hard at all

Odds are its burnt out. You will have to pul the dash apart to replace it. Its easy to do, 10 min job

My clock is out as well, so are a couple buttons for the AC. Keep putting off taking the dash apart.

and yes.. Im going to give it to acura to fix and they'll give me a rental. hopefully an 08 tl!

Welcome to the crappy Acura clock light club This is a well known problem. Chances are that the bulb is NOT burned out. It is a crappy cheap socket/wiring combo as far as I can tell from past posts. Yes the problem has been discussed here ad nausium as you have stated. I did give the dash a good whack just above the clock one night after getting pi$$ed off one time too many. Lo and behold, the light came on ... until the next time the car was started and no light at night again. Some rely on the clock in their cell phones, others just reach up to turn on dome light. Your choice. And say a prayer each night to send to hell the incompetent designer and bean counters of this fiasco. JC
