1 am last nite.. had this mercedes tailing me... maybe it was cause i was going 30 mph on the way home... lol... felt like enjoying my ride... he cut me off and and started to flash his hazards! LOL.. so i pulled up next to him at the redlight stop..... lights turned green and i gunned it using tiptronic thingie... and so he did.... i'd say we were going bout 50 mph wen we had to stop for the next light... funni this is... he was only less than 1/2 a car length in front of me... errr? only thing i have is a short ram intake in my car.. anyone kn othe hp on the clk 430?

it's got some real power high end.. but not what you'd expect from a V8 off the line..
I drove a buddy's CLK430, it's ballzy.. but it feels more "bulletproof" and strong " Strong Like Bull!!" , rather than powerful and agile...

i took on a cab in midtown today (V8 Ford CV) and he passed me but not after i floored it in regular automatic. slowed down and let him have the win just so i didn't slide on some ice and land on 42nd street! If anyone knows NYC, I was driving alongside Grand Central Station/Park Ave. where the road is elevated along Vanderbuilt. go me, go me! LMAO.

2 of my boys have them......one stock......one with intake exhaust and chipped.....i have a stock enginewise 2002 tl-s...i've messed around with both of them and the tl will put on a stock clk off the line but once you get around 70-80 the clk just keeps pulling hard those benzs are geared to keep pulling hard to redline, and especially hard after 3rd gear...

Yeah, a TL-P has no chance against a CLK430 and the TL-S is pushing it against it. I've actually seen and heard of races between both cars stock, and the CLK430 will win almost every time. That car has plenty of room for torque in places where our car just tops off.
