Climate control won't change to cold

I know the AC works. It was working until I messed with the climate control and set it to hot now it's just stuck in hot and won't go back to cold. Any ideas if this is a mechanical issue or a computer issue?

I figured out the issue. It was a faulty air mix actuator. I ripped it out and tested it and it's not working like its supposed to ontop of the gears all being stripped out.

For now I just taped the door to the cold side until I replace it

There is a DIY on how to flip the gears 180 degrees and continue using. I did my own about 5 years ago.

Go to the junkyard and just grab one or two. Maybe pry it open and just take the motor.
Different problem but it's still related. Recently in the heat I've been feeling like my A/C went to shit, I could hardly feel anything through the vents. Turns out my blend door actuator was fucked; looking back I can't ever remember switching the AC from feet to face but the windshield vents worked. I bought one and I was lucky it worked and it feels so much better.
Did you use the A/C diagnostic built into the A/C system?
