Climate control sensor!!
hey guys..this is my first theard ever...in this forum!! hope i am postin it in the right forum!!
I was just going thru the manual (btw i have an 03 TL-P SSM) and it says that ther is a climate control sensor at the bottom of the windshield. (where the defroster air vents are located in the front)
exactly in the middle there is this sensor.....was wondering why do we have that for? does it control the temperature of the air coming out even tho we had a knob to set the temperature!??
and one more thing!....sometimes i set temperature to 75 (A/C off and AUTO)and still the cold air blows. the air doesnt blow from the foot air vents instead from the upper vents about the clock??
is the climate control sensor playin a part in iT???
thanksss....guys for the help!

That little black rectangular sensor is a sun sensor.
Ever notice when you're driving in a dark(er) area for a set period of time that the climate control switches air flow (and even disables the middle vents next to the clock?) and then when you drive into an area flooded with sun, the middle vents open and colder air comes out? Something like that happens...
It just helps the climate control system determine the proper setting for air flow/vents and air temperature.
