Question Climate control question

It stated in the owner's manual that you shouldn't go long periods without running the climate control. Is this true? When I get in my car to go home I don't really like to run the auto control because it will kick on the A/C and I just prefer to have the windows down. If I override the A/C then I get warm air blown on me. So I like to just turn the whole system off completely, but then I think of that warning in the manual.

Should I be worried?

while im sure you will be fine, its a good thing to run the ac once and awhile. And you can run the system AC off with out warm air blowing on you (unless that is its lie 100 out)

Yup, its a good idea to run the A/C every now and then to keep all the seals, and parts lubricated. Just because the A/C is on, that doesnt mean you have to have the temp on the cold setting.

In NY, it doesn't rain infrequently. I just leave the A/C on when I drive those days to defog the windows. Thats more than enough to keep everything running smoothly.

Oh yeah I know its a good idea for the A/C to run. But I don't really need it at all in the fall evenings. And I feel bad about turning it completely off. Plus I have the Navi so that seems to complicate things. Or at least it seems that way because I haven't fully mastered the system yet. I finally figured out that I could turn off the A/C and still have the climate control on.

Like Mr Hyde said. just because you have the air on doesnt mean it has to be cold. In the winter when you turn the Defrost on it turns the air on
