Climate control problems

Hi guys.

My issue is my fan motor inside my 2000 tl. When i have it set at 70 degrees or so, I can hear a loud whistle noise comming from the fan motor by the passager footwell. If you turn up temp, sounds gone ( fan speeds up). Currently the system works, but is just noisey. Any fixes, ideas, and if I have to replace the unit, is it hard?

thanks,
jason

Have you replaced the Cabin Air Filter? Its behind the glovebox and the fan sits to the right of it ands air moves from righ tto left thru the filter and into the vent control
See DIY section for simple 20 minute $17 job- the dealer charges 100+ for.
