Climate control

I have a ? on the automatic climate control. When I push the front defrost button and the system starts. Isn't is only suppose to run at full throttle until it reaches the set temp, say 72 degrees, and then reduce its air output to just maintain 72 degrees? And yes, I do have the fan speed set on "Auto". I think is should slow down as it does in my 2000 Accord.

When you have the front defrost button turned on, I've found that it continues to leave the fan at max blast ... I'm guessing because they figure if you have it on, there's something you're trying to get off the front windshield be it fog, or ice. I usually leave mine on until the fog goes away on the windshield and then I just turn it off and set the climate control back to auto.
