clicking noise!?!

clicking noise!?!

Hi, I'm kind of new to this forum but i have an 01 acura tl that makes clicking noises near the front when i go over bumbs of anything small. anyone have any idea what this could be?? it's really annoying



I'll post up pics of my tl later when i get some rims

If it's not mechanical=check your front bumper lip. Mine had lost a few clips and would bang on the the front bumper when going over bumps. I put a few ties on it and now all is well. There are several plastic pieces under the front of the car. Check them!

it's more like a clunk and click. No it's not the bumper. i don't know what it could be. I thought it was the front cross member, but i changed the bushing and is still making the noise.... it sounds like metal clicking together

i had something similar happen to my 97 formula after i put larger exhaust on. the exhaust was hitting that brace that is suposed to hold up the exhaust incase the flex pipe breaks. dunno....

I have the same problem, i changed the sway bar bushings and now i am waiting on the end links, ill let you know if that helps

Did you check ball joints,tie rods...?Move the wheel up and down(one hand at 12o'clock and the other at 6,and then sideways,one hand at 9 o'clock and the other at 3)
If up and down makes a noise it's ball joints,if sideways, it's tie rods.Make sure it's jacked!

it's not the tie rods and ball joints or the exhaust hitting anything, but i haven't checked the tie rods. i'll check that and the sway bar bushings and see what happens
