I'm a little confused, for $158 it says headlight casing, not included xenon etc, etc. So what am I actually getting and what would I send to you Mr. ?

They are saying $158 for just the headlight casing (it doesnt come with any of the bulbs.) You just send me the headlight casing with out the bulbs. I will pm you with my address. You can have them directly shipped to me so you don't have to pay double shipping to send them to me...

Hey Type S lady

I'm doing the same thing( buying headlight casings from this sight and sending them to Mr. to clear) so I will have my old set of headlights for sale, if you want you can buy them from me at a slightly reduced price and I can ship them to Mr. for you, let me know......

There's always a chance of some fogging. So far mine has not fogged up yet *knock on wood*. I just feel better knowing that if it should happen, I can always switch back to my old set without problems. Just for security reasons.

As long as they don't fog up, it's a great deal. I know he will warranty them and re-seal for free, but a pain in the neck to send back.

Knock on wood I haven't had any fog up on my to date. I do my best to have the sealed correctly. Its a pain for you to send them back but its also a pain for me because now I have to redo them for free and its takes up a lot of my time.

its legal. as long as you keep a amber/orange bulb as the parking light or blinker...

the law says that you need something amber/orange on the front of your car. Supposably you can see the amber/orange better during all kinds of weather conditions.

I have to say I think it's illegal. Aside from the orange blinkers, you also need orange reflectors. It's up to the cop to bust your balls or not. After the install I drove past troopers and city cops. I see a few looking right at me. But never gave chase.

The reflectors are required as per the DOT. Depending on the cop or the inspector during your annual inspection, they're is a 'chance' it may cause a problem.

But, I highly doub't it as not every cop or mechanic may even notice.

Yesterday, I drove through a real heavy storm. It was so bad I couldn't see more than 5 feet in front of me. This went on for 15 minutes till I got home. Drove into my garage, no signs of fogging. Waited 5 minutes later, checked on the lights again, still no fogging....*knock on wood*

Don't worry when it does fog you'll be hearing from me

The real test will be when I wash the car. I got a real strong pressure washer to test it out with. Should be fun. :p Then we'll see.

I have cleared corners + tinted headlights on a NBP TL-S... Doesn't look exactly the same as the cleared look, but it might give you an idea.

Here's the LINK:

Hi everyone, I'm a newbie to this site. Just got a 2000 TL and love it. Always have loved Acura's. Had a GS-R for 4 years.
OK, so to prove my newbie-ness, what is "clearing headlights"
Does that just mean getting clear one's instead of the translucent one's that are standard? Also, is there major cutting involved in getting after-market fog lights put in? How hard is it to do. I put PIAA's on my Integra, and it wasn't too painful.

Thanks in advance!
