Question Clear tails, one man job or should a professional do it?

I really like the 02' tails and I know some of you guys have it. Can this process be done by myself or should I let a "expert" do it? Thanks!

piece of cake

If you know how to use a screwdriver and a socket wrench, you can change your taillights. The procedure to get to the bulbs is in your owner's manual. While you're there, just remove six nuts from each light and they're off. Make sure to transfer over the wiring harnesses too. It's easy, you'll know what to do the moment you see it.

Note that the fit of the turn signal bulbs will be different. You can either get the new wiring harnesses with the 2002 taillight assembly, or just use some tape to hold your current turn signal bulbs in place better.

Do it yourself. some screws...that's it!
The only thing you're gonna have to worry about is back-up lights. Because 02 TL's use bigger housing for the back-up light bulb. You just buy the harness for it or just tape it!

I did mine in about 20 minutes. Piece o cake, just be careful not to drop the screws as you loosen them...

get a pro to clean the front corner, but the tail you can DIY. But make sure you get the harness, I think you need an adaptor

It's pretty simple to do! I helped my frined out a couple weeks ago and it was like a walk in the park! But it did take us half the day to clear out the front one and hoping that it won't leak!

Nope. sorry. The whole lens is amber, so there is nothing to clear. You can spray tint them another color (red, smoke, etc) or just replace them.

i miss the good old days when me and my friend cleared out the tails for his 96 accord... it was amber but it was clear outside so all you had to do was get rid of the amber lens.... of course you had to crack it from the inside, making this job take like 3 hours
