Clear Headlights

I have read several messages where TL owners cleared out the amber from their headlights by using an oven or blow dryer to soften the glue from the lens and housing. My question is, can this same process be performed on 2002 or 2003 (in my case 2003 Type S) TL's?

Is there anyone in the Bay Area (on the peninsula) who has cleared out the amber from their 2002 or 2003 TL? Pics would be appreciated.

Thanks,

MikeC

no, because the bulb itself still puts out a amber color, but you can change the bulb.....

yoh,

do you think there are any auto shops that would do this for you?

i mean, i am kind of scared of doing this to my car in fear of messing something up

if i DID do it myself, how much money in damage do you think i could cause?

i'm just trying to figure out what i want to do

Yah there are autoshops that will do this for you if you are not too good with cars. I got mine done at a autoshop and they told me if it ever leaked they would fix it for me.

here 's some pics of what my car looks like now with cleared corners.

the bulb is actually not an amber bulb...its yellowish, like a normal lightbulb.

Hi jw614 and JD7,

Thanks for the reply. The pics are nice. I've got a white TL-S too =)

Is there anybody here living in the east coast with cleared headlights, and they don't get foggy during the winter time?

Also about how much does it cost to clear them at an Autoshop?

Thanks!
