Clear Headlight Exchange Program??!!
Does anyone here have the time and knowledge to offer a cleared headlight exchange program?
Example: You have a set of stock 2002+ TL headlights and perform the "clearing" operation on them. Then, I pay you for them (however much they cost you), then you ship them to me. Once I get them installed, I send you my stock ones. Then you just repeat the process.
After the 2nd set, you'll already have made 100% profit.
All depends how much your time is worth I guess.
I just don't have the time or the balls to crack open my lights.
Any takers?
Actually, I don't know how much these things cost new, so I may be speaking too soon.

Brand new the headlight housings are around $155 each.
Personally I haven't had the guts to do it yet... but it seems like it's not too hard. One day this winter I'll probably give it a shot. You know... a day when I'm snowed in or something.... actually.. you don't know.. you're from FL

FYI out of no where one of my headlights fogged up without warning with the heavy downpours we had here in NY last week. It never fogged up before. The water collected in the headlamp, poured into the ballast, and blew it. I needed just a new ballast ($144), and not a new ignitor(the plug) or bulb. If I needed a new ignitor also, the cost could have been over $400. If I blew the bulb too.....you get the picture.

I thought about doing this for the local tri state because allot of people asked for my help. But unfortunatly, it's just too much hassle.
I'm pretty confident in my work (lucky so far with no leaks) but anything can happen in months or years time and it would just be one big PITA if folks start calling me back saying "it's leaking, fix and replace my bulbs, etc" or "my warranty is voided because of you!", etc. etc.
Believe me, I seriously thought about it but I'll pass

Be sure that for the person who's going to undertake this project that he write a disclaimer stating that he is not liable for any fogging, ballast explosions, bulbs burning out during a high speed run/race/chase therefore causing an accident, etc. Know hat I mean?
