Cleaning Headlight Lenses

Hey everyone - long time (original) 2002 TL owner and Acurazine follower.

I've owned my TL since day 1 in April 2001 and have loved the car. Over 114k miles and still running strong. Not bad for a 13+ year old car

Like many of you, I have the "clouded" headlights and I know there are many other posts out there about different ways to clean these, but just want to give you my

Went out and bought a 3M light cleaning kit for $30 and - wow really came out nice. Yes, there still are a few real light scratches that are hardly noticeable unless you're very close, but the lenses are clear again!

Keep them sealed up and polished for longer lasting results.

exactly! you must apply 2-3 coats SYNTHETIC car wax to lens surface and buff well
that gets into the micro scratches and leaves a sealing protective coat behind
Without wax they will cloud again, fast

note synthetic car wax has 100 degree higher melt point than regular carnuba car wax
also works great to cut down on brake dust adhesion to rim
Wash and dry rims then apply 2-3 coats and buff
