I was wondering if CL front bumper will fit '99 TL? The reason is that CL bumper comes with fogs. And I'm getting very bumped out that '99 TL do not have OEM fogs. I've looked all over, and nothing really fit my taste. The Value Sport kit is a good start, but it still doesn't look as good as OEMs. And I don't want to attach oval/square/round PIAAs on my bumper. If the CL front bumper can fit, then I got 2 OEM slots for fogs. Can someone provide some insight into this?

 

I highly doubt it. The fenders are different, the headlight's, grill, etc. let alone the holes for the fastener's.

Why don't you just install on your stock bumper? So many people on this board have installed fog's on their 99-01 TL's.

If I were you, I would cut out the two "ports" on either side and fabricate some mounts for a set of fog's.

Looks sweet when they're mounted there.

But you can always put INSPIRE/SABER bumper.

 

Where can one purchase a inspire/saber bumper from and how much? Is it hard to install? Thanks...P

yup..the CL bumper will not fit..its too short

 

Besides...the CLS doesn't even come with real foglights. Ask any CL owner and they'll tell you that those are the very same bulbs that your maplights and doorlights uses (type 194 4watts). Most of them are simply changing them out and putting polarg m6s on (type 921 18watts), the same ones that we all use for reverse lights...but they are no way equivalent to the TLSs 9006 (55watt) foglights.

At best you will have foglight output as well as our TLS reverse lights.

But ya, '01~'02's have pale yellow incandescent 168 5W peanut bulbs that provide absolutely no additional illumination at all.

 

Either way they all use the same socket...my bad I think domestic cars use 194 (4 watts) while maybe the imports use 168 (5watts) but im not sure. Regardless....people still replace them with 921 (18 watts) no?
