Someone post on how to take that piece out of there, I think you can get some chrome spray paint at pep boys and you just need to do some sanding and priming, then like 2 coats of chrome paint...I think imma do that too

Thats NighthawkBlacks car. I think it looks pretty good. IMHO. He's done some impressive stuff to his car like the radio displaying EJECT and LOAD with the time of the song playing. How did you do that bro?

Okay... I remember that I was reading some car magazine from HK, and I believe that their TLs look like that. I personally like the silver better, and I am pretty sure that those cheap fake chrome won't less long IMHO!

So, if it's stock in HK... maybe somebody can just get it from Asian... It's just factory parts.......

I think if you get the Silver dash kit, and somehow make those cheap plastic wood silver, the car look tighter....... JMHO again...

Yeah, either early 90's or late 80's. Keep it like it is. That chrome look cheesy IMO..

It's easy to remove this piece. Unscrew your shift knob. Gently push down on the console right near the black ring around the shifter. You'll be able to pull up the black ring; do it little by little. Once the ring is off, you'll be able to take off this piece.

While you're down there, take off the plastic cover and clean it.

I think the brushed aluminum look is better, by the way.

I wish someone made a true brushed aluminum cover instead of the painted POS...

I just went to HK last year and I dont recall ever seeing a TL. I am going again at the end of the month and I'll keep my eyes open, but still dont recall seeing a TL. Anyhow, I think it looks prettty good if it is durable.
