Hey where can u get a chrome shift plate?

only TL that can get it is the 99ers, cause its already there. the 99tl shift gate is chrome with silver paint on top. you cannot xfer to another tl since the 99 is a 4 speed, all others are 5.

He has a 99TL. Soak the shift plate in paint remover for a few minutes, wipe off the paint.....instant chrome shift plate

From what ive been told, back in '98 when they designed the '99 TL, the shift gate was chrome, however after production of the shift gates it was determined that glare under certin circumstances could reflect off the shift gate and distract/borderline blind the driver. so they painted them.

I know what they were talking about, ive had a few times i had to close the sunroof cause the glare was bad... but its rare...
