I'm going with Gold. Yes Black and Blue look great, but they must be PERFECTLY clean. Any dirt and it looks lousy. You must be a washing pro not to get swirl marks. I was going to get blue until I saw someone drive in with one and it had wash swirl marks on it. My choices were Perl White, Silver, Gold. Silver is too plain, too many have it, and my last 4 cars were silver. I drive on high speed roads inhabited by LOTS and LOTS of trucks. Sometimes I feel like i'm driving though an asteroid field. High speed sand particles leave little white specks on my hood and mirrors. ENOUGH!!! I need a color that wont show every little knick I get on my arduous journey to work every day.
Again, black looks great, but someone at work with a black Accord got a dent when some jerck opened his/her door and put a dent in hers. The dent shows up alot more on black because its reflected better.

I hope to one day live in a place where it doesnt rain and work is 5 miles away. Until then I need colors that wont show damage else I go nuts when I see it.

gggggggggggggggggggggggggrg9@#&%((*@#$&(@$&*(@A&#$ (@($&(@$&

OK, its out of my system.

WDP is a nice color I saw one the other day with factory body kit. I ordered Firepeper Red/Ebony Nav. I ended up with Nighthawkblack/Ebony Nav. I have enjoyed my black car for the past year.
Its all up to you pick the color combo you wan't.Pick the colors that you can live with pick at least 3.

Light colors make small car look bigger and dark colors make big cars look smaller.

I got the Monterey Blue and I have to wash it once a week. But, man, does it look great after a good wash.

Living in the snow belt I guess weekly washing may be a hassle. White, gold and silver will hide salt & dirt much better than the darker colors.

Let us know what color you end up getting CBS.

I like my silver TL just fine. The gold one looks very feminine to me. I think white cars look like refrigerators on wheels.

White Diamond Perl BABY!!! The only other color that I would have gotten would have been black but it would be too hard to keep up with. You only see a few of them on the road, so thats another added bonus.

Diamond White Scotty here, checkin' in with an unbiased reply:

White, White Baby!

My dealer had a special on Firepepper Red and one other color: $300 over invoice. My wife hated anything other than WDP. Thus, we bought the WDP car at $800 over invoice. In other words, we paid an extra $500 for WDP.

If I had it to do over, I WOULD. LOVE THE COLOR!

P.S.: I don't know where he got his info, but someone on this board posted that only 3% of Acuras are finished in WDP and Laguna Green. Don't know how "Acura-ate" that is. (Sorry, couldn't resist...)

P.S.S.: The parts guy at my dealership says the WDP models are VERY popular and fly off the lot pretty much as soon as they come in. That that for what it's worth, since the vehicle I purchased had apparently been sitting on the lot for some time!

Scotty:
I'm the one who gave the "3%" info. I started looking at TL's about a year before I purchased with WDP as my first color choice. Because the car (at the time)was hard to get here in ANY color, the GM of the dealership told me that both WDP and Laguna were especially difficult since they were produced in that 3% quantity. I don't think he was giving me a line because he knew I was going to buy regardless of the color (silver being 2nd choice). BTW, if I had it to do all over again, I'd STILL get WDP, even if I had to pay extra! FWIW.

Agreed... I had to wait a few extra days (but didn't pay a premium) for WDP and have NO regrets. It's beautiful.

I got a Laguna Green but my second choice was White Diamond Pearl... and WDP is gorgeous on the road... but I have no regrets I got the Laguna since it's great for hiding dirt and looks fine even though I'm not washing it for 4 month...
The '02 is getting the Blue Antricite color I think... take a look at that, it looks great on the VW Passat...

Just my 2 cents...

Actually it's just a Antricite color (specifically called that). It looks way sweet. It's like the grey that they ran on the '99s. The white pearl is pretty sweet, but I must warn you, some areas have a very very very long waiting list for that color. When the '99s first came out, there was a 9 month backlog for that color here at my dealer, and I believe it's still about 3 to 4 months wait for that color because sooo many people want it. I choose silver. I love silver and blue on a car. And since the Monterrey Blue was too dark for my taste (plus it wasn't a black interior), it became a no-brainer for me.

I've never liked the gold that Acura has put out, seemed too close to silver, not enough gold. What would be sweet is like a brownish gold, like Champagne or something.
