I got my winter tires on, they are Bridgestone Blizzak's 215/55R16 , and i can't wait till it snows!!

Sorry this may be a stupid question but what is the difference between snow tires and regular tires?

Well, as my friend once demonstrated, winter tires are not to be driven outside the winter season. They had no grip on pavement. I'm not sure this holds true to all snow tires, but this was the case with him.
