Check it out. My New TL....
I am picking up a 2002 3.2 Type-S Saturday and was just wondering what were some of the pros and cons of these beautiful Acuras??? I have had 2 Accords, the last one for 8 years and am really looking forward the the luxury of the TL. I'm sure theres no one better to ask than some guys who obviously have a great passion for them. Let me know what you think of my new baby....
Does anyone know when I will be able to post pics???

The car has 80K on it and is in mint condition inside and out. Its a one owner that drove 30 miles to work and back.... I just cant post any pics of it yet.

I love this car, just really regret that it never came from the factory as a 6-speed. I've been contemplating converting it, but I don't know if it will be worth it in the end. That's about it really. When I take the car out it does turn heads... and its stock except for tint. The other gripe is if you're looking for aftermarket rims, your selection is somewhat limited because of the ridiculously high offset that 2G TLs have.
IMO its the best looking generation TL. It won't feel like it hauls ass because you have an R1, but it does have some pull for a semi-luxury sedan. Handles pretty good in stock form too.

Well dude if you werent informed already the TL's from 99-03 and I think 04 also has the hmm how to say "not so well designed" transmissions so you do run the risk of possibly having your transmission go on your. Hopefully this doesnt scare you away but with 80k on it your fine for now cuz the warranty covers I believe 100 and change or 7 years. So you better make sure your TL does have a clean title on it or else the warranty is voided. Other then that the car runs fine have fun

Nice
with navi also, "Lucky!!" Nice clean car. I guess it's normal, if you purchase a tl-s non navi, you see pics like these and you wish you would've gotten navi.

Very nice indeed, a rare combo, WDP with ebony, I got one myself but you have the navi included.

I looked at around 400 different Type-S's and this is the only one I found with the White on Black with the Navi.... My flight is at 8:30 in the morning to Chi town and should be back in Louisville around 5:00. So I'll get some nice pics and the mods are for sure on the way....
Thanks for the great comments guys....

There is only a slight negative camber and ppl from this forum told me that I should be fine w/o one. I've only had them on for a week so can't say much about tire wear yet. The ride is a bit stiffer than stock. I'd say this is a great way to drop your TL if you are on a budget like me, unless you can find a good deal on used stuff in the BM.

I dont like the stock navi, I think its looks and feels very outdated, I bought mine purposely without navi so I can install a pioneer AV1 later.
Congrats on your car tho, I think WDP is the best color.

The tranny recall on this TL was actually done before it was even shipped to the US. She drives like a dream.... Now its time for the mods....

Man I just sold a 93 accord that I had for 8 years... Before that I had a 90.. I have been driving Hondas for 12 years and loved ever minute. I had so much Fugin money in that Accord, but she was me baby and I just let her go to step into some pure luxury.....I had over 12K into that ride (not including the price of the car) and just sold her for 4K. Which Im very happy with for a 14 year old ride....
One thing that I've learned is that once you start moddn the suspension and engine componets and such, that you will always be tweaking something. Which is perfectly fine if that what you want to do. Now I'm ready to sit back and cruise a little. Plus I have the bike to play on.... This one is just getting the pure essentials, 19"s, intake and exhaust.
