Check Engine Light CEL P0740

So I was driving from Long Island into Manhattan, I hit a few bumpy roads on the LIE, and all of a sudden my Check Engine Light, My SRS light and like 2-3 other lights go off. Clearly I'm worried. I take an exit, I turn off my car and I turn it back on and only my CEL is on.

I go to Midas today and I get them to diagnoise it and it turned out to be error code P0740- CONVERTOR CLUTCH SYSTEM PROBLEM. basically a transmission issue. I also had my transmission rebuilt last October. So currently I should be under the warranty, since im not over the Year or 12,000 miles.

Anyone have experiences with third-party warranties with this issue, primarily AAMCO. any feedback would be appreciated.

Yea get it in. Its a trans code. If its one of those it usually has something to do with the trans. Seeing its a tq converter code, the trans will most likely have to be riped down and rebuilt according to the damage its caused

well i went to aamco today, and they checekd it out, and it turned out it wasnt a transmission issue, they checked the cables/the plugs, could've been loose or something and to double check they put the computer to test the tranny and everything checekd out A-OKAY. so right now theres no CEI, but that code isnt bad news all the time. just reporting so it can maybe help someone. : )

so guess what, as i was driving to six flags on saturday, my CEL and my SRS light went on as i was normally driving. 2 weeks earlier, i had a similar problem, i went to aamco and apparenlty there was nothing wrong.. if you readmy earlier thread. I go back this morning to find out whats wrong, turns out there is a transmission issue based on the code. so i dont know what the deal is. if ive been driving wiht a fucked up tranny all this time. i'm kinda mad, but they have my car right now, and i explained them the deal that i dont feel safe driving around in a car like that, espeically work done by them.. so they are gonna try to fix it and check the transmission out. OYE VEY.
