changing transmission fluid
it's time for that ever so important transmission fluid change,
has anyone changed the fluids themselves and can anyone tell me where the drain plug is...also, how many quarts of fluid do I need?

I change my transmission fluid regularly.
The plug is towards the driver's side of the oil drain plug. The oil drain plug is under the passenger side and the transmission drain plug is under the drivers side.
That's the best reference I can give you. You'll recognize the plug once you look under the car.
I usually fill between 3-3.5 quarts. More like 3.5 if I remember correctly. My advice would be to use Honda fluid.

I just changed mine. I would like to point out that you should take the drain plug out entirely and wipe it off good with a clean towel. The drain plug is actually a magnet that will grab any loose metel particles that are in the transmission
My 99 TL had quite a bit of very very small metel shavings stuck to the drain plug... MAKE SURE TO WIPE IT(like your butt
)
I don't think the ATF in my car had ever been changed!!!
I put some valvoline ATF in it. It's supposed to be good for high mileage trannys(mines not high mileage
) I think it was Dexron 3 which does not void acura warranty...(not that I have a warranty
