Changing gears jolt? Tranny?

Got a 99 TL with about 130k miles. Automatic. Runs great. This isnt a big deal to Me but was wondering why it does this?

Like when I am in park and and put it into reverse, & take it out of reverse & put it in drive, when it switches gears you can feel the whole car kinda jolt/buckle and it makes a noise when it changes gears also. Its not to smooth of a transition.

I always try and be completely stoped changing gear directions. But why does it do this?? Tranny? What if I change the tranny fluid? Would that help?

To keep the motor in place and get rid of vibrations and such things your feeling. The mounts on our cars have about a 30-50k life expectancy. There have been a few with really bad mounts have symptoms like you described. You may want to look into them.

Its probably not those but your engine mounts. The trans mounts can be seen thru the drivers side wheel well. They are under the trans and kinda small. (2 of them)

Front and side should take you a 2 hrs or less to change. Those are the ones that most frequently fail. You can buy them at the dealer or the link below cheaper

No. Do one at a time, all you need is a floor jack.
