I use fram or napa on the truck and the wifes kids car, but like the K&N for the TL mainly for the easy off nut on the end

I loved that metalic blue paintjob on the Pureolator Pure one filter. l Used a few of them on my 85 Ford (midsize) LTD. I also use to run that Castrol part synthetic 10w40 oil in it thinking it was the greatest stuff in the world. lol

I have had one bad experience with an orange Fram filter. My friends mothers car had the same problem as me with an orange Fram filter. My car was the aboved mentioned 85 Ford LTD, her car was a 90 Corolla.

The oil light would come on anytime I would stop at a stop sign, red light, or just idle in park. I figured the car was old, engine was tired, and I would just continue to drive it till it died. When it was almost time for an oil change I decided I would do it a little earlier with this new problem that just showed up. So I picked up a Motorcraft filter since it was on sale, and it was a Ford product I figured it was a good deal. Changed the oil and filter; that oil pressure problem went away.

About a year or so later I learned of my friends mothers car having the same problem, so we went to Toyota to get an OEM filter, changed the oil and that problem went away as well. I have used Fram filters many times before this with no problems at all, but once I learned that the filter was causing the problem I never used one again. I'd like to note, that YES I checked the oil level the first time the light went on and it was full. Same on the Toyota.

I never had a problem with OEM honda filters, but now that I went to Amsoil I'm going to stick with their filter.

Also like i said many hate fram on the internet and sure there are filters that are better, but looking at how they are better equates to what? One might argue that they are getting superior filtration, but if there is enough stuff in the oil that needs to be filtered out that much better you have other issues to worry about. I ran the fram filter for over 200k on my last motor and guess what, not one problem, Motor was in as good of shape as it was when i bought it new. (confirmed by compression tests and oil sample tests, as well as 1/4 mile times and that was 8k dino oil changes 10-15k syn oil changes) Too many read too much into oil and filters.
I posted what I seen. I live in Houston and we have a lot of construction and other pollution, but it is what is is. I have seen the filter from the inside and I am not impressed. I had ran only fram filters in my civic with no issues, but then when I got my motorcycle, I started to do the research. I did not mean to come off as bashing the frams, but I saw both filters and they both do a good job, so why not go with the filter that is cheaper and constructed better (again, my opinion)??? I have only used the SuperTech filter in the Acura and no issues (although, I admit to using the Fram for the first oil change)

Yup, the paint on those purolator pureones are way cool. I just put my second one on in a row. maybe they can make a NBP colored filter since they have a RBP
