My god, I just got the K&N filter for my car... went to remove the top of the airfilter housing, and I just about stripped the head off the screw...

I finally got *1* screw out... at the bottom, a white "paint" on the bottom... like locktite, though I've never seen white stuff....

Anyone run into this?

didnt have any of that on mine......but i used the hex side of my 6-way screwdriver to remove the screws.

never seen that. maybe some idiot forgot that they needed to change the air filter
