Changing a 2000 to a 2002

My 2000 TL was recently involved in a wreck where most of the front exterior was heavily dammaged.
(Moment of silence...) In lew of the terrible incident, something popped into my mind. While my car is getting fixed, is it possible to replace what was demolished by the accident on my TL with parts from the new 2002 parts? (replace my 2000 hood, front bumper, grill, headlights, etc... with 2002 ones...?) Does anyone know if this is even possible or do I just suffer from "face-lift envy?"
Your input would be very welcomed.

ouch...sorry to hear about that
yup.. it sure is possible. everything should fit..its the same chasy.
but insurance is not gonna do it for you. It all depends on how much the damage is worth and the body shop you take it too. find a body shop and ask them if they are willing to give you 2002 parts instead of the 2000 parts. tell them you have got into accident and you'll get it fixed there if they are willing to give you the 2002 parts. so shop around for a body shop. thats how my friend got his type-r front for his integra when he got into an accident.

all you guys been talkin about how insureance wont do it.. but i think they will give u the money and u have to ask the shop to do it.. the decision lies upon the shop. if the money that the insurance give you isnt enough u mite have to chip in.. but the most expensive part is buying new sets of HIDs

There was a guy on this forum a few months back that wanted to do the same thing but his car had not been wrecked. He quoted something like $2500 for the new parts, not sure if that included the new headlights. I am pretty sure you can do it, you just need to get the insurance check and take it to whatever body shop you want.
