ceramic brake pads???

I dont understand this ****... How is it that my girlfriends 99 durango could go 35000 miles, and the brakes never squeak, not once... then they dealer says they need to be replaced, so they put new pads on and now it squeaks ALLL THE DAMN time... I dont know what to do. I had the rotors turned, had to be tured 4 times, but they are true again, and I put anti sqeal on the back of the pads, but it only stays quiet for a week and then it is bad again. Also, the front rims are getting destroyed by brake dust...

I have talked the guys at Pep Boys, they said that they have a new type of pad out, a ceramic pad that is supposed to have 80% or more, less brake dusts as well as being ULTRA quiet. They cost 2 times what cheap pads cost... What do you think, have you ever heard of ceramic brake pads???

It worries me b/c I dont want to have this problem with my **** later...

I didn't think ceramic brake parts were available on the open market. I knew Porsche had them on their 911 GT2...http://www.us.porsche.com/english/91...afety/pccb.htm

Dodge trucks brakes suck! My friend has one that is a 2000 and he had to get his brakes replaced. He only had like 30k on it. One of his buddies said that dodge is notorious for that and expect it to happen ever couple of years.
