i can't get the center console apart on my 99.
i got the side trim off, but i can't get the cupholder section out.

i have a coin stuck behind the coin tray.

i gotta take this thing apart.

can someone get me going?.

looks like 3 sections.
cupholder area.
shifter area.
radio area.

the damn cupholder area is held down somewhere i cannot see.

HELP!.

Have you tried just removing the DLC cover under the coin try and using a long screwdriver or something thin to retrieve the coin? To get behind there you need to remove the wood grain side panels, there should be 2 screws you need to remove (2 gold ones as I remember) and then open the armrest and there's 2 screws at the bottom under the carpet piece. Lift the armrest piece and slide it back. Then remove the 4 black screws holding the cupholder section and remove it. Pry up on the ring around the shifter and remove it. You'll need to remove the DLC connector cover (under the coin tray) to expose 2 more gold screws that need to be removed. There's probably 2 black screws around the radio that need to be removed as well (Can't remember for sure, it's been awhile). Disconnect the seat heaters and the 12v power outlet and that piece should come right out. Easy as that!
