CD storage keeps popping open

CD storage keeps popping open

My Stupid CD storage thing above the radio keeps popping open when im driving!!!! Anyone else have this problem? What do I need to do to fix it? It's driving me nuts!!!!! Thanks!

think they had a bulletin about that awhile back. bring it to your dealer.

This is apparently a common problem among TL's. I had the same problem. Took it in twice but still happens, especially on hot days.

Seems the heat causes the latch to fail. No real fix. Try putting a magnet on the latch with cement glue.

it's useless because I've got a disc-changer in the trunk....LOL

thankfully I don't have this problem....the persistent rattles and squeaks are more than enough:p

ya i had the same f'in problem drove me up the wall, just get some velcro strips from the hardware store an stick um on worked perfect for me.

your supposed to put Cd's in that stupid thing. There is no way they will fit, is there. I thought it was a pad of paper and pen. CD's will really fit in there?

Same thing happened to me. There is a service bulletin out on it. They have to pull your whole center console including your radio out and put in a new CD case holder. It takes about 3.5 hours to do it. Make them do it. It is a service bulletin and this is the only way to really fix the problem. I had to really get on my service guy before he would guarantee it wouldn't happen again. Yell, if they don't do it right. Yell louder. Good luck.

Yeh... the CDs will fit in there. But ONLY the cds.. not CD with CASE~ hehehe

but it's useless, i rather put my cds in the glove box..
