CD Player

This topic has been tossed around. But here is my story...

I enjoyed the CD player in my old car ('97 Toyota Corolla) because it played all CDs as well as showing the track times, something my '99 TL doesn't.

However, some burned CDs do work in my car.

They usually fall under these categories:

1. CD-R works fine
2. CD-R works but takes a long time to load
3. same as above except you can't track forward; you can only listen to songs if you start from the beginning
4. CD-R doesn't work at all, player just makes noise as it tries to play it (most recent occurance)

Its this inconsistency which bothers me.

I just recently purchased a 50 pack of imation CD-Rs hoping I could burn my own CDs and play them in my car. First CD I made plays but falls under 3. Latest CD falls under 4.

All sessions and CDs were finalized from Roxio Easy CD Creator.

Should I look into a different brand of CD-Rs? Different recording software? Or give up?

As far as the the timing thing that bothers me as well, but as for the cd brands there are a couple of recent threads active on the forum...i would look into those for your answers.
