CD Changer stopped working - help please

My in trunk CD changer stopped working. When I change CDs, it changes the CD, but doesn't play, just shows track 00. Replacement costs well above $300.

Are there any cheaper alternatives? Like changing the in dash radio, adding AUX?

I've stopped using CDs for years. I've been using something like this:

http://dx.com/p/car-mp3-player-fm-tr...port-mp3-10130

It's very cheap, and most of my complete music collection fits on a large memory card. The only tricky thing is finding a frequency in your area that isn't being used.

I have one similar to this, but even at the best frequency where there is no interference, sound quality is no where near CD quality.

Aftermarket radio is your best bet. Our original radios are a disaster. I ended up getting a double din touch screen radio. Will be selling soon to upgrade

You can add an iPod interface fairly easily. I have one for sale for 85 if you wanna check my black market thread. Regularly 130. It plugs into the cd changer port and gives you iPod access plus steering wheel controls for it.
