Caution - CDr labels may peel and jam on ejection

Word of advice:
I had a close encounter with the 6 CD changer the first night when after loading it, I tried ejecting a CD-r. Well wouldn't you know the edge of the label began to peel and jammed the CD from coming out. I quickly grabed the Manual and saw that an error ERR-01 meant "consult your dealer". This must be bad news. I will refrain from conveying to you my initial reaction.
I hastily composed myself, studied the situtation (and certainly refrained from telling my wife what happened). I would not be able to sleep that night knowing that I have a car problem the fist day. I sneaked into the garage with a pair of hair tweezers and flashlight. I saw that the edge was at the opening. I gripped the edge of the partially exposed CD in the changer opening with the tweezer and forcefully gripped it and pulled it and a partially peeled label edge out. Crisis solved! The Dealer could not have done any better.
From that point on, I committed to never again insert any CD-r with custom labels. I will ink the song tittles directly on the CD-r instead.
With the heat generated in the CD changer, it is highly likely that the label glue will lossen the label from the CD and on ejecting it is bound to be a problem for others. I do not think that Acura conceived of this happening and it did to me!

Besides label peeling, label changes the weight distribution of the CD and make it wiggle when turning. This could misalign the laser head and cause some problems. That's why label on some jewel case strongly suggests not to put labels on CD.

on a further note, I've seen actual cheap cdr backing peel off, so you might wanna be careful of that too.
