carputer'ers please help...

ok so im going to do this project very soon. i just want to make sure i have all parts.


Mini-Itx Board
Processor
Heat Sink
Memory
Laptop Harddrive

Xenarc screen

this is all i need am i correct in this assumption? also, can you guys give suggestions on which model of each i should look at? thank you so much

Xenarc is a 7" touchscreen, available on eBay for something like $400.

I don't see anything to power the computer in your list. Other than that you're set for a basic system, USB leaves pretty much any option open.

well, there is a way to use the stock navi dash piece and put the xenarc screen in the place of the navi screen. you have to take the housing off and make it fit. another member has done it. it looks SICK!

installed in a G20... xenarc touchscreen and fab the dash moulding... mini itx board and hardeware actually is squeezed behind the monitor...




DC installed in a false floor on the passenger side...


u forgot DVD -drive and a usb gps system...

oh yeah btw... i suggest u make an active desktop to better navigate around XP or whatever os u planb on using...

Via has good mini-itx boards and cpu... they work really good... laptop hd u can find anywhere.. and also memory if u trying to keep it small then find some low profile memory... it is only .8" tall...

i have a xenarc flip down brand new in the box with touchscreen and wireless headphones if anyone wants 400$ runs for 450 no cheaper. must sell to get the normal non flip down version to replace the lilliput i got on my dash. DO NOT GET LILLIPUT they suck, mine lasted 2 weeks
