Hey Noah, I was wondering.

who's the guy who made that CF wrapped gas lid etc.
I want to get a piece of plastic done so that I can heat gun/ blowtorch/ oven it to test this CF discoloration theory.

I'm not sure that will work unless you plan on doing it continuously for a few years. CF is a very tough material but i guess it starts to break down after long exposure to heat.

 

but with high heat, ie. oxy-acetelene, I might be able to simulate as good amount of time.

 

there is a difference with heat over time and a large amount of heat fast.

 

Saw some cf done on a tsx. I asked who made it for him and have yet to hear back. There may be hope yet.
