Car won't start

I just received my new bulbs from Hidextra this morning. And I replaced them and everything was working fine until I went inside came back out turned the lights on and the passenger side was flickering. So when i tried to start my car it wouldn't start just a quick flickering noise from the engine bay like it was trying to start but just doesn't. And my lights don't work anymore also even tried switching back to oem lights and nothing.

any suggestion?? has this happened to anyone??

Quite possible. It's happened 3 times to me, most recently yesterday. Put a meter on it. If no meter remove it, take to parts store for free charge/test.

why be scared? If the hids were flickering the ballast may be going bad. fuses all good?

Well am not that scared, I just want them to work you know. And if the flickering means the ballast is going bad then I'm going to have to get them checked or something. Other than that the fuses are all good I checked them all..

And the light was not aligned on my garage door is that because of the way I installed them or..??

to adjust the alignment of the headlights there is a little place you stick a screw driver to adjust hight, sometimes the threads get stripped or pop out. might be a diy on how to aim them, its easy. check to see if any water or water vapor is in the headlight, that can damage the ballast. i got a small amount of water in my headlight and it ruined a ballast, it flickered before it died. i ended up installing a whole new waterproof aftermarket hid kit with a little custom work, it works fine and was cheap.

flicker is usually ballast, see hid company ads or tube videos

swap bulbs side to side and see if the problem follows a bulb

did you install the bulbs the same direction they came out--with the external wire piece in same location
and the bulbs metal retainer arm is locked so the bulb is sitting flat?

battery can fail without warning -
winter use of more accessories/lights-heater etc has put the hurt on them,
plus a harsh winter for most of us is never good for the battery

mine has been a few seconds longer cranking to start engine,
recent prob with headlights made me wonder about steady voltage??
tested and found CCA at 350,,about 60% of normal cranking amps!!
new batt solved most of the sluggish start,,
some seafoam and egr port cleaning are on the to do list to fix the rest

If the doors were left open and tunes on while you worked,,that could drain the batt but should be able to get it started on its own

Have the batt and alt-full charging system tested `for free` at any parts store
