Car stuck in TCS what to do?
As the title implies, my car (after lowering it) is permanently stuck with TCS on. The light is always on and pushing the TCS button doesn't do anything.
I thought it might be a false reading so I tried peeling out, not much wheel spin and a LOT of burned rubber.
I overshot a stop sign and the car skidded to a halt (again burning rubber smell)
I know that TCS is a safety feature, but it's automatic, it doesn't need to be on all the time.
anyone know how I can fix this?

Is this a continuation of your problem in another thread? https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-tl-1999-2003-98/abs-tcs-after-adjusting-my-drop-795369/
"...not much wheel spin and a LOT of burned rubber." <-- huh?

^well its sort of a continuation...
The lights went away when I pulled the fuse. but the TCS came back and it is clearly active
and I should clarify that. I guess what I meant is that the system is trying its hardest to control the wheelspin but naturally it can't prevent all of it.
all that great noise you hear when you normally peel out is replaced with a muffled rubbing noise and whereas there usually isn't too much burnt rubber, there is an abundance now...

you likely have a damaged wheel speed sensor from the lowering operation.
the wire is fragile-can be corroded and a pull on it will dislodge the contact inside
Not too expensive--
anyone with recent price? $50?
you already ckd for contamination on the teeth part of the sensor system?
as total'd said- TCS light on dash ON means system off,,same as srs/side airbag light ON means no system
with it working correctly there will be NO wheelspin up to 16mph (25kph)
as the faster wheel will have the brake applied rapidly on and off to equal its speed-same as when in ABS active mode
when actually operating the dash light should flash to make you aware and ease off the gas until you have traction--think uphill on ice from stopped
you would turn it OFF for drag racing--brakes are not making it go faster~

^yeah thats exactly how it used to work. now it's just on permanently.
so that means that TCS off? I'll have to take it to my mechanic and jack it up.
Ironically, the ABS light came back on. That means it's not working as well?
this blows lol
