CAR INSURANCE on YOUR TL!!
How much does everyone pay for coverage on their TL??
I pay $1400 year for 50/100k Bodily Inj, 100k Property Dam. Basic PIP, 250 ded. Comp & Coll. in Florida. Does this sound norm?

too much...
i'm buying a TL within the next week and my quotes for both TL and TL-S were just over $500 for 6 months. So about $1000/year, full coverage on a lease option. that's with a $280 deductible.
but it also greatly depends on your age, driving record, who else is on the insurance, where you live and nowadays, even your credit score.
considering the assumptions that i'm making about you as a person, yours doesn't seem so bad. my quote on a 95 legend coupe LS was about $1200/year.
but when i added two drivers and changed some configurations for the TL, i got it down to $1000/year.
it all depends on who, where, what, how much, and debt (a new trend)...
i'd say you're okay but you should probably shop around. i found the lowest prices at progressive and esurance.

Comp and Col. $500 Ded
Property Damage $100,000
Bodily Injury $50,000/$50,000
Med Payments $20,000
Uninsured mot. $50,000/$50,000
Towing $75
Rental $50 a day up to 30 days
33, single, Houston, clean record
$611/ 6 mo. - USAA
I'm guessing that living in Harris county has more than a little to do with the rate as well as the higher limits I requested.

$2500 a year in Arizona
$250 deductible
I'm 22 and only have one chargeable accident that is still on my record, but I have to carry a $5,000,000 liability umbrella for business reasons and we have higher rates because of our proximity to the border and the number of stolen cars.

Just got a quote for 2003 TL-S from State Farm.
$560/year
that's with $250/$500 deductible for comp/collision
We also have another car and our home insurance through them, so there is a bit of a discount. We are in Ohio.

Yup :-) $280/half
I don't have the exact stats, but I think it's $300k property damage.
I've never found anyone who can come close to the rates I get from State Farm. My family has been with the same agent since before I was born. That may help too

$100K,$100k,$300K.
Safeco...$1,080/year
Clean record finally.
When I had the Supra at the tender age of 24 my insurance was $3500/yr. The TL has been a nice change of insurance payments.

Damn, after seeing some of your quotes, I feel awfully damn good about my insurance rates!
USAA(very good co.)$432/6 mo. w/ $500 deductible, the usual coverage amounts for the other stuff....
I'm 23 and have never been in an accident. My insurance could be alot lower but I have about 5 speeding tickets on my record w/ a reckless driving conviction.
I brought my rate down via the "good student" discount, alarm, air bags, you know the deal. And also the fact that I live 1 mile away from my job, so the commute is very short and insurance friendly.:p

Mine is $675 for six months, but I am paying a prorated sum until I renew my policy in May. By that time, my record should be clean and my rates should be much lower

my current insurance company refused to renew our policy because of various traffic violations and one accident from my mom (super minor with scratched paint- on odyssey)
we insure as a family for 2 cars. So I need to find a new insurance plan. I just turned 25 early this year and my mom's speeding record will drop in a few days.
So my question is, should I get a quote from a different insurance company after my mom's record is dropped? that means I will be driving without insurance for a 1 week or something like that. And do you think my currently ins compnay (prudential) will allow us to find a new plan under them?
what would be the best way to approach this? thanks!!!!
