Car Is Finally Almost Complete
Well after 8 months i will finally have my tl back on the road. It was involved in a crash on 9-11-08. It has been siting since then so i was wondering what should i do before bring it back out? Its getting painted where it was damaged this coming week. I drove it to the shop and it seemed good besides the brakes making noise due to the rust on the rotors. I plan on driving it first see how it runs before doing any major work to it. I plan on giving it a oil change even though the one in it was just done back then. Should i do a tranny fluid change? Im also planning on doing a brake fluid change if i keep the car since i will be getting slotted rotors. Im thinkin its a good idea to drive it with ease for teh first couple weeks. Anything else i should do?
Cliffs
- Car involved in accident 9-11-08
- Sitting for about 8 months and is finally getting ready to be on road
- What should i do before driving maintenance wise

It was a very bad 9-11 for me
Anyways cant wait to get it back and hope it runs perfect. Even though it was branded salvage now. Hopefully still runs like a champ it did before. 126k miles.

It was in the shop only for like 2 months. 8 months since it's bn sitting cause I had to save up again to fix it. How'd they not salvage your with 12.5k worth of damage? Mustve been a while back when your cars value was more. It was 9 k due I the impact. There was more damage underneath but lukily frame wasn't damaged.

Srs questions?!!!
I had a few quick questions. I just piked up a new seat but was told so many different things im confused. I was told i had to change the srs module in the dash and sensors somewhere on the car, depending where it got hit. Is this true? I was also told i install the seat and reset and turn the car on theres a chance the seat airbag will once again redeploy. I dont belive it but dont want to risk it. Cars suppose to be done sunday but gotta goto the damn dmv and pay them more then they need LMK thanks

i got in a accident a while back, all I had to do was (yes not good but it was the cheapest way to go) get the comp module reset, I had to pull it off, and a guy resealed everything for me, and it worked great, no airbag of course, but its all I had in mind

replace k-frame, headlight with ballast, hood, fender, front support, bumper, grille, wheel, all driver's side suspension/steering/rotating components with axle and brake system, replace foot area in driver's side, 14 hours on a frame machine, replace windshield, remove dash to pull firewall back, cut out/weld-in new driver's-side strut tower assembly, re-align door jam, new strut bar, airbox, battery, driver's side electrical/vacuum/relay components, new throttle linkages, all mounts, transmission mounts, and entire 5-speed auto-transmission.
I LOVE my car
