Hey guys, I have a random question. I have a car cover for my TL that's almost a year old, and it's beginning to look rather ratty. Have any of you washed your car covers? I have the factory car cover and I know it says to wash it in light detergent or something like that by hand, but I was wondering if anyone had thrown their's in an industrial size washer and set it on gentle or something. Anyway, any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

 

I have the factory car cover for my 2000TL also. I have had the car cover since I got the car 12/29/99. I have not yet washed it in the washer. I only wash it on the car & then let it dry on the car.
I have not been using the cover that much because of the harsh winter weather we had over the winter. I pulled it out this spring for a few weeks & washed it. It has been raining here almost 4 days a week since April. My car has not been washed in over a month & is dirty so the cover is not in use. I just placed an order for Zaino polish & car wash last night because I was out of everything. Once I get the car polished good I will start using my cover again.
