Hey,
I know everybody on this board talks about their acuras beating maximas and fords etc but I am sure that there are maxima boards etc. claiming thier cars are beating us so the question is? Are we all really all that fast or do we just think we are? Tl is a quick car but so are most new cars now. I know I had a 95 Continental prior to my 2000 TL and I thought my car was the fastest car on the road. maybee I was just driving faster than the other cars on the road.
Think about it...

Our cars are pretty fast for what it was intended for (a 4-door family sedan). Remember, our car is not made to be a race car. But then again, what guy doesn't think he drives the quickest car around?
IMO, having a low 7 sec (TL) and mid to low 6 sec (TL-S) in a family sedan is pretty quick to me.

yahh i know what you mean. i think our cars are generally pretty fast for sedans. when it comes to maximas though depending on who has more mods i think that determines who wins. but we still got the better looks

lol.... please..... our TL's are one of the fastest cars on the road, well in our class at least, but I wont say that it will beat anything, because I have been beat by an M3... and thats it. But as far as the 00-01 maximas (I dont try the 255 hp version with my 99 TLP) I KILL them EVERY time. I blew one away one night doing 155, and he couldn't go above 120. Not many cars can do 155 in our class... in fact, I think ours is the only one. I have plenty of confidence in my car, and I wouldn't own one if it wasn't one of the best cars in its class, not to mention one of the fastest.

Sorry for the double post...yeah I love my TL-P and do feel it is very fast considering the weight to Hp ratio. I was just trying to make a point that owners tend to think any car they own is faster than everybody else. But there still is no denying the TL 3.2 is a fast and great car.

HAHAHHAHAHAAHHAHA.............I do admit stock Max vs stock TL edge goes to the TL....but yo do a little work to the Max and good bye TL.........
I will piss all over a TL....Hey I do all the time.....My friend claims that if he gets in an INTAKE he will win but u know what a 6 speed 265 hp max will piss all over the TL.....v-tech screw v-tech

i'm probably one of the few that disagrees, but TL's are not fast. i'm not starting anything, but there are MANY other cars out there that are faster. since it is not that fast, there is much more in the appeal of the car, which is why i bought mine. luxury, comfort, styling and quality.

Unless u drive a freakin F1 race car, theirz always gunna be cars faster than urz no matter what.... so juss love what u got~
