Cannot get the side skirts off for the life of me...

I just got the factory body kit this morning.

The front and rear are done, but I just can not get the side skirts off. All the screws are removed, by the front wheel well, and on the bottom of the skirts.

Any special tricks for this? I don't want to damage it, as the car is leased and I need to put 'em back on later.

Thanks.

you might need the help of a 2x4...wedge it between the rear of the side skirt and the rear wheel and push/pull forward. i believe the FAQ also describes this "technique"!

yeah stanman is right. its tough but hit it or push it hard from the side with a 2 X4 and it will come off. there is like 50 clips on the side thats why its tough.

Finished it. Thanks, guys.

I didn't feel like cutting one of the billion 2x4's in the basement (my dad does a lot of work with wood, yet I still couldn't find a piece short enough... go figure), so I put both feet against the rear tire, my back facing the front, grabbed the back of the side skirt, and yanked it off. Pop!! Oh, man... it was the sweetest sound in the world... EVER The rest was a piece of cake!!

It's sitting on the driveway, parked slanted, because I gotta show her off now!!

Thanks for the tips, guys. I really appreciate it. Without the forums, I would've spent hundreds on installation.

Hey Rob,

Did you use the FAQ about installing the kit from this site? (Very helpful!) When you're done, be sure to take pics! Too bad... I coulda helped you -- I got the tools (axle stands, etc) and experience. And I was going over to Detroit on Saturday, too!

Did you install it without getting wet? It's raining pretty hard here in Windsor.

I just got done, and the clouds are moving over. Talk about perfect timing.
