Can you hear the fluid in the rear engine mount

I was curious as I'm struggling with determining whether a TL rear engine mount is good (or not) prior to installing it? I've been using a OEM rear mount for the past few months and haven't been pleased with the new vibration that comes from it while being stopped (typical issue with an Anchor or a DEA mount), but want to confirm the Honda part (used) is good prior to installing it. (go figure)

Thanks.

vacuum test solid with no notice of leakage

it holds a solid vacuum and has no signs of leakage.

I ask about the hearing the fluid within the mount as it is very pronounced within the DEA mount. (& was told this was a good thing according to the folks I purchased it from)

Reaching out to someone with a new TL rear engine mount

if you shake it, do you hear fluid inside? Just curious to help me make a decision about a used TL mount (99-03) in my possession.

Thanks.

since it tested good on vac there is no reason for it to be leaking fluid
Go for it!

Thumbs up Rear Mount Works Great!

Thanks for your help with this as moving back to the TL rear motor mount made all the difference in the world. As much as the lifetime warranty sounded great on the DEA, its lack of "rubber" to dampen the engine vibration is worth the extra cost. It's not that I'm full of money (I am actually seeking donations if anyone wants to provide some $s ), but the lack of vibration in the drivers seat & steering wheel is worth the extra $50.

Don't get me wrong the DEA rear motor mount worked great (good vacuum, etc.) as my problem is that I'm not one for the additional cabin vibration that they give versus the Honda/Acura mount.

For anyone interested, I am more than happy to sell the DEA mount (only 3 months old) to someone for $50 + shipping as it are just not a good fit for me. - Drop me a note if your are interested.
