Can someone help me with memory seats?

Hi, I recently bought a 2002 TL in December and since it did not come with keyless entry remotes I bought and programmed some off of EBay (thanks for the directions on this forum by the way!). My car also did not come with an owners manual so I am not sure how to program my memory seats to my liking. With the new remotes they move all around everytime I get in my car and its driving me crazy setting them each time. I will probably try to get a manual soon off of Ebay but until then can anyone send me directions on setting the memory seats? Thanks!

The memory seats are pretty easy to program in. Just set the seat however you like. Then push the red memory button and then push the corresponding seat button (1 or 2).

I do that all the time while talking on my cell and eating my McDs after coming home for happy hour after work.

You can move the seat using the controls. But anything related to the memory seat will be disabled, which includes recalling a stored setting, or reprogramming a new setting.

If your car can store a new reprogram command while out of park, then there's something wrong.

I cannot switch from, say, #1 to #2 while driving. However I am able to move my seat and then reprogram that as my #1 or #2 saved position. That has always been the case and, although there is the possibility, I doubt only that function alone would be somehow "wrong." It doesn't affect anything else with my seat position and the fact that I am still unable to switch from #1 to #2 while moving makes things confusing if I am the only '02-'03 with this ability. Interesting...

Okay, I'm gonna have to try that again just to be sure, but I do remember moving my seat and attempting to reprogram it once and it wouldn't let me.

Yours is an '02, I take it?

I'll try it and report back.

Mine does the same thing. I don't have to be in park to set it in memory.

I have an '03 TLS - and I cannot set a memory position unless I'm in park. I can adjust the seat all I want manually while not in park, but i cannot trigger one of the memory positions or save a new one unless I'm in park.
