Can OEM suspension bushings be pressed out?
Looking to do a bushing refresh. Can any of the factory bushings be pressed out and replaced with aftermarket rubbers?
Thanks
Thanks

Personally when I did LCA's I went with OEM bushings they work well enough so didn't bother fixing something that isn't broke

Don't use Moog, stay with OEM if possible for the LCA's. While you have the LCA out and disconnected from the front radius rod(s) consider doing the Radius rod bushings as well. I used the ones below and they were much better then the soft OEM ones:
Front Strut Arm Bushings - Honda Accord - 16.7103

I'm guessing the larger bushings go on the front of the radius rod?
Side note, LCA bushings were a real PIA! The old ones were seriously a bitch to get out.

Quick question, The service manual doesn't specify but i'm assuming the LCA bolts should be tightened with the suspension in it's normal ride height?

If you don't use a new RR self locking nut, put a little 'blue' thread locker on.
Which radius rod bushings did you finally settle with?
From Helms 'Lower Arm Replacement' section:
First install the suspension components and lightly tighten bolts and nuts, then place a jack under the lower arm, and raise the suspension to load it with the vehicle weight before fully tightening bolts and nuts to specified torque values.

Also, IIRC'ly, when it was time to torque the self-locking nuts to the 40lbf-ft, I didn't have a 'deep' enough socket to tighten all the way, so I used a 12mm (I think) crows foot to get the proper torque. It's real important to keep tightening until your torque wrench indicates the 40lbf-ft; otherwise, you might have movement or 'thuds' appear as the RR's do their thing. Especially with that beefy 3.5 you now have.

Hey Iggy, did you ever get around to installing the ES radius rod bushings?
If so, what are your impressions.

I did! They definitely tightened things up and everything is nice and quiet up front now. To be honest though, I don't really push the car's suspension very hard so I may be a bad test case.

For questions on the KB1 (assuming you mean RL) I would post in the appropriate forum.
about bushings: almost any can be pressed, but the real question is it worth the time and effort needed? a lot of the time not really. for example: I would replace the bushings on my LCA, whereas the UCA I just replace the whole thing.

@stevieray this is the 2G TL forum, they are referring to replacing parts for their 99-03 TL.
