Can a Navigation System easily be added to an used 03 TL that never had 1?

I recently bought a certified used 03 TL. I am admittedly not a major car guy, especially when it comes to doing my own modifications. I have always been an Acura fan due to the fact that I am an avid reader of Consumer Reports and I always try to get the best value that I can afford. I must say that I have never been happier with a car yet, than this one!
Hopefully someone will be able to share their expertise with me. Is it possible, and will it be difficult, to add a navigation system to an 03 TL that did not have one originally? If the cost and effort is too much, I will be fine with getting one of the many high quality portable GPS options now available, but I though I would at least check out the possibility of a fully integrated navigation system.

Thanks in advance for your help!

You can always go with the Pioneer in dash tv and navigation if you don't want to deal with all the customizations.

That's a *great* thread on adding the nav system. I saw that thread before I bought my nav-equipped 1999 TL. In a nutshell it looks like about $800 in parts and a lot of work. But it can be done.

It would certainly be cheaper and easier to buy a standalone unit but then you wouldn't have the integrated installation.

And the Pioneer unit mentioned above is certainly worth a look. But I'm not too familiar with that one.

I want to start off by thanking all of you for your quick responses. The fact that there is this kind of community support just reinforces for me the fact that I made a good decision on the 03 TL.

I actually work in the computerized mapping field (technically GIS/GPS) but not specifically in the automotive systems. My point is that I am well aware of capabilities/limitations to various systems. My inquiry is based primarily on aesthetics. Just to somewhat clear myself of being one of those annoying types that post previously answered questions, I did search on this topic and for one reason or another did not hit that thread that some of you referred me to.

I appreciate all of your advice and thank you for linking me to that thread. At least I know that the integrated Navi is worth investigating as the portable systems that I would go with are for the most part in that price range.

Thanks again!

Sorry, but also, does anyone have any tips on good online part/accessory suppliers?

Thanks,
Mike

Since you're in NJ, you might want to visit a shop up there called Street Effects(http://www.streeteffectz.com/home.htm). One of the employees posts pictures of their work on this forum from time to time and everything I've seen from them on this forum looks absolutely flawless. Good luck!
