Can I switch the wood interior?

Just bought a 2002 s type from a local dealer, but don't like the black colored "wood" interior that comes with the black leather. They have agreed to switch it to the standard wood for me.

Just wanted to check that this is
A) possible and
B) can be done without tearing up the leather or anything.

If you guys could fill me in that would be great - I don't want to show up to pick up the car and find that I shouldn't have tried it in the first place...

Thanks

The center console pieces just pop off, but the only way to swap out the door inserts would be to replace the entire door panel. I was able to remove my door insert pieces but it required cutting the plastic rivets. Not something I'd see an Acura dealer trying.

do you think they wouldn't try it, or that they'd screw it up?

I really can't believe they'd offer that to you. It's even a pain in the ass to swap out the door panels. The real issue is they have to have another car with the burlwood trim they can swap with.

Just so you know, the front door linings will run you ~$275 a piece. The rear door linings are ~$290 a piece. :wow:
